Wow what a day, the Grand Canyon is quite a sight to look at. Pictures just don't do it justice. It took about an hour to get to the East entrance of the park and made stops at the various lookout points on the way to the main visitor center.

That orange dot in the distance is me. Marie was afraid I was going to fall off the edge. Maybe because I had the car keys.

It was a beautiful day, about 80 degrees with a light breeze. The sun was bright and the shadows were hard to deal with when taking pictures.
One last shot of the Canyon. Don't get me started on the the buses that cart you around the park like cattle.
After our visit to the Canyon we drive to Williams to have some food at Twisters 50's Soda Fountain.
It had a lot of character and the food was pretty good too. We shared a Chili Dog, Fries and a Fudge Sunday.
Of course it had a small gift shop so Marie was right at home.
Driving into Williams we passed Bearizona and had to go back after our meal at Twisters.
This was a drive through wildlife park so we drove the Charger through with the trailer in tow. The first pen we drove into there were three Burros having it out, not sure what the fight was over.
Marie caught one of the park rangers taking our picture. He though we were crazy driving the Charger through the park. Apearently the bears like shinny things and he felt the Charger quallified.
The bear pen was really active, there were more than a dozen bears walking around. For the most part they could care less about the cars driving through.

This bear is in a enclosed area like at the zoo. The park ranger was giving the bear gummy bears to entice him to stand up and wave to the crowd.
Arizona has been so desolate of bright colors the flowers at the park were nice to see.
We stopped for the night at the Canyon Lodge in Seligman. At first they wanted me to park in the dirt lot beside the hotel but after getting a second look at the Charger they asked me to move it inside the fence and pretty much everyone staying the night here is keeping an eye on it for us. The Manager took a picture of it and said its going up on the wall of special guests.
Tomorrow we will be hitting the back roads of AZ and heading into CA. It feels good to be getting close to home.
